Should i carry a backpack on the first day of school?

Question

ok so im going to be a freshman the next year and i really dont remember what i used to do the last years lol :) so im going with a backpack this year coz totes hurt my shoulders so what should i carry for the first day a backpack or just a small bag coz we take all the books on the first day but im sure neither of them are going to fit all of them so what do you think a backpack or just a small bag.

also if u have any tips for the first day plz help coz im usually shy and nervous

id carry a cute lil drawstring pack, a small one, like a babyphat one or soemthing....

i like sittin in the front of the class. it shows the teacher you are there to learn somethin, not to socialize and blow it off, get in good with them and you wont have anything to worry about.

i avoided all the drama and the stupid things that go on in HS because its all worthless in the end, you are there to get enough education to get into a college, highschool really teaches you the basics, and how to socialize in the real world.  youll take a lot of the same classes in college, so dont waste time on meaningless stuff!  learn what you can and college will be a breeze.

but yeah, a drawstring back is perfect...!

Haha I had your problem. What I did was I went to my school a few days before the first day and I put all of my books and such in my locker so I had less to carry on the first day. That way, you can carry your tote and look cute.

Sure wear a backpack to carry your personal items and school books, etc..

First day tips: Smile and be out going. Introduce yourself to fellow class mates.

Carry your backpack if you are going to take all your books in on the first day. Carry a backpack for the first 2 weeks, because you are gonna get a ton of new textbooks!

Carry a backpack because you will get books.

I was a freshman last year and we got books and homework on the first day.

Don't be nervous. Just relax be open to new ppl.

uhmm a back pack b/c atleast it will fit more books then a small bag soo  it wont cause you any harm for just holding a little of the books

Just take a backpack, because you will have to carry stuff home, and it is just easier with a backpack. =]

last week was my first week of freshman-grade...

eww no backpacks.!

you like dont even need anything, but i brought a tote with my schedule, some paper and writing stuff.. unless you walk to/from school, then bring a backpack but hide it immediately!! use your locker till after school.  just act super confident. if you are still at the school with seventh and eighth graders, then just remind yourself your older

Yea i would go with the back pack.  Because It will hold more, and there could be extra room if you don't use it all.  And for the first day just find people you know and just talk to them, or if you don't know anybody just go and talk to people that you see.

omg dont worry about it  EVERYONE will be nervous! im really nervous to, even if the other kids dont show it or even say there not nervous its a lie im usually pretty quite the first day to so rememeber everyone is just like you. i would just carry your  backpack around if its more comfortable then deffinetly do it.

thats what im gonna do. im just gonna take my bookbag around the first day to get all my books. and maybe the next day, if im ready, or like a couple days into the year im just gonna carry a tote since ill be a little more used to it

first of all carrrying a back pack is being geeky.so be a prep , really popular change of personality and stuff. carry a tote bag or huge(celeb style) handbag, you can put your mini dog init and stuff.

wear really nice clothes like blouse and floall jeans or a cute mini(really mini) skirt with 3 quarter leggings underneith and a strapless top(red.gold.silver.or black) any colour you wish really
