  1. it is the best oil. my answer is yes. but remember once u use synthetic u should not change back to regular oil. the oil leak will be the same give or take a few drops. sounds like a gasket or the seal.

  2. I would go with synthetic, if you have a leak problem you can switch back if you like. Synthetic flows better after a cold start and protects at higher temperatures.

  3. Your Owner's Manual will say which SAE you should use - whether it's synthetic or not,  and under which driving and weather conditions. Fix the leak first, it could just be a gasket -(cheap) but could be a bearing - (more expensive). Don't forget that an cheap synthetic only has to have as little as less than 10% synthetic to be called "synthetic", not all synthetics are the same.

  4. Are you sure it's an oil leak? It's sounds, from the location you've explained, like it's a Transmission Fluid leak. Check the fluids color and smell, if it's reddish and kind of a sweet smell then it's a definite tranny leak.

Yes, Synthetic is PHENOMENAL for both daily drivers and people that push the perfromance limits of their cars. Before you actually add the synthetic though I highly, highly recommend that you buy a bottle of engine cleaner that's used as a flush between oil changes. After you run that flush then fill your car up with the good stuff. Mobil 1 is very popular but Castrol 100% Synthetic has really come out swinging since it's release and if you dont beleive me just turn your channel to NASCAR and majority of the cars are being powered by Castrol instead of Mobil 1.

Any synthetic fluid that's available for your car is honestly worth the extra few bucks that you spend on each quart for the added longevity that they give to your car.

  5. Synthetic oil will:

    Give you better gas mileage.

Give superior friction protection in your engine

Make the engine last much longer.

Use a 5W30 weight oil.  I believe that is what almost all manufacturers recommend for their vehicles.

I use Mobil1 synthetic and I wouldn't use anything else.
