Should i check the status of my stolen car with local police?

Just call the police and give them your info and ask them for an update on the status of the vehicle, they should have sent what's called a BOLO to other state wide agencies and if they've had any hits on the vehicle they will tell you.

I would think that they would contact you, if they have any news on your stolen car, but sometimes they won't bother, so I would call and ask, but it might be better if you go there and talk to someone.
