I cant have my own babies, I want to adopt, where should I look?

I too, can't have my own baby and decided to Adopt.  Actually I pretty much decided to adopt long before I found out that it was dangerous for me to conceive, so Adoption was something my spouse and I always planned on.  There are many places you can look into adoption.  First you have to decide if you want an international adoption or a domestic adoption and whether you want an infant/newborn or older child.  There is also a fostering alternative where you might be able to adopt the child if the biological parents eventually relinquish their rights.  We decided on domestic adoption and are currently seeking to adopt a newborn.  We felt that it was a better choice for us and the baby in case an open adoption was on the table.  Depending on the state your in there are different laws on requirements to adopt.  Our state required Home-Study, and various legal filings by your attorney. Fingerprinting, medical clearances and background check, Once all your paperwork is cleared, you get certified.  Once certifed you are legally able to accept a baby until the adoption papers are file, your attorney will tell you all the specifics regarding you state and the law.  To find a baby we are looking everywhere, websites, newspaper and online classified ads, search engine ads such as yahoo google and facebook.  You have to network a lot, let friends neighbors anyone and everyone know, eventually someone who wants an adoption plan for their child might  find you.
