  1. Royal Caribbean then Carnival.

    Check fares on both.

  2. I would take the ship with the itinerary that I liked best, while still staying with a ship with at least a 4 star rating and at least 7 days.  All lines have ships that are older and the service is not as good, but the star ratings are pretty accurate. Also the ships with the shorter cruises tend to be more party central. The longer cruises have more experienced cruisers sailing. Most veteran cruisers are not brand loyal, but they do their research.

  3. Royal Caribbean

I have Been on both, and it is more upscale, and has way more things to do.

    The Food is awesome!!!!

Amenities and all great and new, and even if the ship is old, they are awesome at keeping it new.

Overall atmosphere is about a 9.

I have been on both. I loved RCI better than Car. because carnival is not as classy, but i still love both because they are geared to different auduiences, and RCI combined fun with classieness, and well, thats me. Carnival is just fun, not as classy of luxurious.

  4. i went  on a cruise to Alaska on royal Caribbean and it was wonderful!! it was the serenade of the seas and it was her first voyage so it was spectacular. the food was excellent, my waiter even cut my meat for me! the spa was good, the pool was beautiful everything was magnificent i would give it a 10 out of 10

  5. i have tried cruising both royal caribbean and and Carnival. Both cruise lines are just perfect but if I had to choose, it'd be Carnival. Carnival has more amenities especially when traveling with kids, teens and young adults. Carnival, as it claims, is the fun ship and it truly is.

Overall, I would rate Royal Caribbean 8 and Carnival 9.

But in any of the cruise lines, you wouldn't regret going!

    so, happy cruising!!

  6. I have been on both and prefer royal caribbean. The service and food is better. They have lots of amenities and activities. Carnival is geared more toward people who want to lay around the pool and drink. They really don't offer any activities and the ones they do have they charge for. Royal caribbean has a great mix of free and fee based activities. Its for people who like to stay busy. They offer free activities such as salsa lessons, keyboard lessons, ice skating lesson and also various wine and liquor tastings which are cheaply priced. They have a nightclub and tons of lounges so there is stuff for every ones taste.Carnival to me is a 1, and royal is a 10.

  7. My clients and I find that Royal Caribbean Newer ships are very good .. excellent food, great chefs, amenities & activites, etc. etc. etc.

However, Carnival "new" ships are equally as good... it's like comparing A Mercede to a Lexus...

But if you are looking for more of a value cruise and not so much the flair then look at any ship that is 4 years or older sailing the standard 7 days ports (Eastern Caribbean is a great 1st timer trip) I would go with Carnival ... since their prices are overall the best buy.

But if you can afford the extra money...and looking for more traditional sailing Royal Caribbean International is a GREAT buy.

But always use a Travel Agent they can get you the best deals.. give them the best offer you found and see if they can beat or match it.

    Good luck!

  8. I went on a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera on both ships and Carnival was better.  The food was better and I really liked the customer service.  RC was good too, but the food and the activities were better on Carnival.  I would rate the overall atmosphere a 9 on Carnival.  That's my opinion, but I found a lot of other great opinions on the website I listed below. It's a great website to compare different cruise lines and the different activities and features of each ship.

  9. Carnival!!!

  10. I know a single guy in his 20's who went on RC and he said it was more for older couples, very little for young or single people.

  11. Carnival is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to cruising.Carnival serves lobsters They are the least expensive and it shows. Food is mediocre at best. They tend to cater to families with children and to young adults under 25. Had a more rowdy, younger crowd and food was just ok. Pretty good onboard activities and the kid's program was the best feature!! Kids were unsupervised late at night (1:00 pm!!) in pool, jacuzzi.

Royal Caribbean is one of my favorites and have some great ports of call.Lounges: with the Viking Crown Lounge, those that sailed on RCCL knows what that is all about. Good Service, Good Drinks, and great Views

    HAVE GOOD TRIP

  12. Royal Caribbean
