Question:

Should i cut/trim my hair before my wedding hair trial / wedding?

havent cut my hair since feb 27. so its been almost six months since i have cut my hair.

i have only blow dried it maybe 2 or three times (with the exception of blow drying my bangs almost daily) in the six months.

i condition it every time i wash it, and that is maybe every other to every third day.

i occasionally use a leave in spray conditioner.

i'm debating this because it costs money to get a hair cut and right now i dont have the money to be spending, and really have to budget the money that i do have for things like my wedding hair, my trial hair, my to be's ring, waxes, etc that really are important to the wedding day!

wedding hair is going to be like this:: http://www.freshdames.com/images/uploads/Mila_Kunis_004.jpg

so how important would it be for me to get my hair cut/trimmed NOW instead of waiting till i had money??

should the hair cut be a priority? or should i just skip out on it because i'm really tight on money.

i'd like to know how much of a priority i should make the hair cut for my wedding day.

  1. Because you're wearing your hair down, I would highly recommend that you get a trim to make sure you don't have any split ends. I don't think you mentioned your wedding date in the question, but usually about 3-4 weeks before the wedding day is good because you don't want that "I just got a haircut" look, and you want it to grow back naturally for the pictures so you don't look over-done.

Everyone gets split ends and damaged hair (even if you don't blow dry or curl/straighten).

If you were having an updo, I would say forget it, but your hair needs to look really healthy to pull off wearing down, so it'll be worth it. Eve if you just went to a Hair Cuttery type chain place. It's hard to s***w up a trim, and they only charge about $20 I think, depending on where you live.

  2. You shouldn't get your hair cut on your wedding day, I've heard the timing for your last trim/cut should be one to two weeks before.  That way if anything you don't like happens you have some time to deal with it.

I would wait until that time to get it cut.  Although, if your hair trial is within the month of your wedding, you could get it cut that day and have the trial done all together - you might save money that way too.

I would avoid the day-of wedding hair-cut, as long as it's within a month/two weeks you're hair will still have the fresh trimmed looked for the big day, especially when it's all styled professionally.

  3. You only really need a trim before your wedding day (like 2 weeks to a month)  Just keep on taking care of it and you can hold out till then if need be.

  4. depends, don't get it cut any where near the date!what if they s***w up!If your hair looks like this now and the wedding is close leave it.If you aren't getting married for a few more months, get a trim.Make sure you go to the same stylist though so she knows what to do!

  5. Get it cut, but it's probably cheaper to buy a pair of good shears (i.e. ones that won't mess up your hair) and have a friend trim it. (This works best if it was cut straight across in the first place).

  6. That picture looks to plain. You should add more curls.

  7. a trim might be nice to keep your hair healthy but only if the hairdresser sees it needed
