  1. Try both and stick with whatever one you like the best.

  2. do both...running is amazing

  3. Depends what you like. Track is more of a social sport. There is more sprinting, if you like that sort of thing. But there's also the 1/2 mile and mile run. There are also team relays that can be fun.  You run track on a circular track. Cross country is more independent and they are longer runs on all sorts of terrains. You only run one race and you're done. I prefur cc, since it's more independent and I still have a good time. Good luck in what ever sport you choose.

  4. Go for both! track is in spring and cross country is in summer/fall. If you do both you will stay in shape.

      Good luck!

  5. if ur schools like mine cross country is in fall n track in spring....

    if not, it depends

in track, u will be recognized more, b/c so many people come to meets, and u can do variety b/c of the events

in xc, it will build endurance, but not many people will know ur name b/c no one comes to watch

i would recommend cross country to build endurance

  6. i would do both. As a seventh grader you go to a new school and start to slowly meet friends and get to know people. Sports really help and running is one of the best ways to do it. Running is one of the sports that you can run and talk at the same time with out messing anything up or getting in trouble for not paying attention. You can run and meet new friends. Also both cross country and track will help you in running if you like to run and want to get better at it. I recommend doing both cross country and track. GOOD LUCK

  7. Why not do both?  Conditioning.  At track events you can pick and choose your distance to run as where as X-C there's just the one distance for either girls or boys (longer than the girls distance).  Track events you can start off printing as one becomes stronger one may chose to try longer distances re: 800m, 1500m and so forth.  1500m runs strengthens ones ability to run the longer X-C course.

  8. Usually most runners run both.
