Should i do horseback riding agian?

I did it when i was 11 or 12. And i did 2 summer camps.

I'm 16, but the thing is now for some reason i'm afriad i will fall and never walk agian.

How much are privite lessons usually, and the helmet, boots, and pants. Roughly.

One of the things about riding is you are going to fall off at some point.I  am 13 and have been riding since I was 6 and I don't know what I would do without it. I have fallen off before, and I have only gained bruises. Sometimes all you can think about is falling and hurting yourself, and riding does have it's risks. However it is a highly enjoyable sport and if you are passionate about it i strongly suggest you start again. Why not find a local stables and enquire about private lessons. They usually cost around £22 for half an hour and you will be getting one to one instruction from the instructor. The stables should put you on a nice steady horse to build your confidence up, and if there is anything you are not sure about and are reluctant to try your insrtuctor should listen. Nobody can force you to do anything, so if you start riding again, you should be able to learn at your own pace. As for the riding gear, it ranges in price. An approved riding helmet should cost around £50. If you find one that is cheaper and approved that is great, providing it fits properly. Boots vary aswell, depending on the type you get. You can pick up long boots for roughly £25-£30 or Johdphur boots for about £35. If you get Johdphur boots, you may also wish to buy half chaps, as these will give you extra protection. These cost around £25- £30, but will last you a very long time if you look after them. Johdpurs/Pants will cost around £25- £30, and come in a variety of colours and patterns. Gloves are advisable as they provide extra grip- you can pick these up for about £3. All of this may seem costly, but should last you. Remember that you should be able to borrow riding hats from the stables for your lesson, so you do not have to by one straight away.
