Should i do more reps or less reps with heavier weight to get stronger?

  1. Find a weight your comfortable with and do many reps, then, when this becomes very easy, up the weight - you are getting stronger.

    Don't do something that is too heavy for you, as you will only weaken your muscles at it pts yourself at a high risk for an injury.


  2. You really need to find an actual work-out calendar.  typically many reps at low weight builds endurance while high weight with fewer reps builds up your strength.  i know when i lifted for football in HS the workouts changed every week and you would start all over every month.  make sure you give yourself a day of rest in between days that you lift you you allow your muscles to re-build though
