  1. I would have it braided or trimmed. :)

  2. Leave it. If you didn't want to deal with the long hair, you should've gotten a short hair hamster.

Get a little comb, and brush the fur daily to help keep it from getting tangled and to keep it from getting messy.

  3. You can trim it. That's what I would do.

    Oh and Good Luck!

  4. i know what your talking about ;} watch this video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it shows you how to clean your hamsters fur

  5. brush it, then trim.

  6. nope let it grow

  7. try to cut a little fur off of those places..... but be very careful

  8. Long hair hamsters (also called teddy bears in pet shops) have long hairs in their butt like a skirt. This is a normal feature of long haired hamsters. Long-haired hamsters need their owner's help with a soft brush to brush through its hair coat everyday (like you would brush a dog's long fur) to remove the bedding sticking on to it. If you want to, you can trim it very lightly at the tips by using a scissors but ensure that the hamster does not abruptly move and injure itself. The beauty of the long haired hamster is in the long fur, therefore I would advise against trimming it but do groom it as regularly as possible for the shine to come out and for the bedding or p**p in the fur to be cleaned out.

  9. You should trim it a little bit. Some people are hesitant, and will not trim the hamster's fur themselves. You can often find a dog groomer who will do a trim for your hamster for a few dollars.

It's as easy as taking a pair of scissors, and trimming the bottom of the hair carefully. If you are planning on doing this, make sure that you do not cut your hamster at all, as that can be extremely painful, and you will have blood everywhere!

Good luck, and I hope this helped!
