if you hear too much road noise or rattling i would recommend it

If they rattle enough to the point that it bothers you, I'd recommend some type of sound deadener.  Some vehicles seem to need it more then others.  Since you brought it up, it must be bothering you ... so I'd say yes, spring for it.

Not really sure that is safe, dynomite is not a toy. Just replace them, stay out of trouble that way
