Should i eat in school during ramadan? will it offend muslims? ?

HELP! I hang out with muslims. I live in DOHA. Its ramadan soon when school reopens. Should i eat?? or should i not...ITS my first year here and i dunno what to do.

You can eat if you want. It might make them feel hungry though.

Do you eat pork in front of them?

Most muslims would not be offended, however they will probably wander off while you eat.  If you are very lucky you will get invited to their evening meal on day.

no its ok...ure not a muslim...u could eat...but just make sure that u dont eat right in front of them lol...but thnx for respecting the fact that we are fasting.

U can eat but don't tease anyone has it is part of a Muslims faith to fast during Ramadan no one will be offended if u eat.

Yes, there is no harm. Muslims with strong Faith do not feel hunger or jealousy when others around them eat or drink.

Good for you for trying to respect their religious preferences. Now they should respect yours. If you want to or need to eat, do it! If they stop liking you just becuase of that, they aren't as good of friends as you thought they were.

No - there's no harm in it. I mean, out of politeness, I wouldn't comment how good the food is, etc. but it doesn't bother me when I see food when I'm fasting.

you're free to eat of course, no offence at all.. but just to be considerate you might eat alone so that others wouldn't feel hungery, i mean like you can stay in the class for ten minutes of the break to eat then hang with your friends the rest of the break. but again i say you're free to eat in front of them, nothing wrong at all

Yeah sure I don't think they would mind. And how sweet of you to ask. Just don't say this is delicious or yummy repeatedly . And doesn't it get hot in Doha so just try not to drink water in front of them all the time. Personally I can go a day without food but when and its hot and no water, I don't know what i would do. Don't mind if I ask but are are you originally from?

Well it shouldn't be a problem. But if you want, ask them if it's ok or you to eat in front of them, just to ease your mind.

nah, definitely eat, the whole point of keeping fast is knowing that were not eating even if we have food. so you eating doesnt really make most muslims feel the effect of the fast, its really just their psychological will power

Its fine.....well i was the only muslim in my grade when i was in highschool......and i had no problem sitting at the lunch table not eating.  

Just don't do stuff like....ohhhhhh this tastes soo  good or something like that.

Yeah if you want the answer for this Question, the best answer would be the one from a Muslim.

And the best thing I think is that its no problem eating when they are fastening because they just fast to be patient while others are eating. Also they have to show patience while there youngers are eating. Even Mothers don't eat when feeding the childs.

So I think its no problem eating in front of them But...

Please Don't eat when a Muslim request you to...

Well if your not then they will understand. Trust me. Last year when I was fasting and people had food they would ask me if it was okay first and I'd be like go ahead I'm not even hungry. But a lot of times it would be something that was haram so it wouldn't make me hungry anyway. but seriously your muslim friends would understand don't worry. And if I were you just to make sure I would ask them if it was okay to eat in front of them. I'm sure if you asked them first they'd really appreciate it.
