  1. yes its a great idea go for it you can do anything and everything you believe in!! good luck.

OH i went to one of those camps and they helped me a TON wen i was a freshman and  i am now a junior!!:) soo gooood luckkerZ

  2. i know in my school you cant make the jv team if you are a junior, but if you really want to play and you have some natural ability, then i think you should go all out. b/c if you are a beginner and really want ot play, that's what it takes. hope i answered your question.

  3. Sure. That's how you learn.

  4. i say yes, i think that you learn more at camp and it is super good for beginners, it doesnt really matter what level you are at vollyball, camps teach you everything you nedd to know!

  5. I think you should definately do it. They can teach you a lot at camp. When camp is done you still need to practice everyday!

  6. Volleyball camp would be great for you. I learned the basics after the 2000 olympics because I wanted a solid foundation for passes and sets. You really need to get a good understanding of the game and all the intricacies between positions. Ball control is essential and you should get a good deal of experience in a camp setting. If you can, watch college volleyball and learn how the players block and their timing, good luck, its a great sport.

  7. deff.. get all the practice you can especially since you are starting to learn so late. I would even start earlier than summer if possible. Work hard. and have fun. It's a great sport once you learn to play and get competitive.

  8. Definitely! Camp is the time to learn and polish up your skills. And it's definitely better to experiment with technique at camp than at tryouts or during an important game.

  9. ABSOLUTELY JOIN A CAMP! your high school probably offers a summer camp and most camps do not require a certain amount of experience unless they have different levels find camps in your area im sure there are many colleges that have a volleyball program in your city probably have a camp do everything you can to join camps over the summer even take private sessions with someone you know or find that is an adult and had played volleyball and is very good at it. it will be difficult to make a team at that stage with no experience but work hard do camps join clubs take private sessions do all you can

    hope you make it

  10. yes I think that is a great idea. Camps help a lot, plus you would be gaining playing and ball handling experience right before try outs.

another thing to look into is club volleyball. it's in volleyball's off season. you would get to play on a team and go to tournaments. this is great for beginners! It gives a lot of court time and hands on experience. I have watched many beginner volleyball players play club and by the next year, they are just as good if not better than the girls who had been playing for awhile.

    Good Luck!
