  1. Once you gecko has reached full size, you may try to feed him 1 pinkie, but if he wont go for it after about 30 minutes, take it out.

  2. Not they can not digest there bones properly and may cause them to stop eating and it is very hard to get them back onto eating again

    ..

  3. Pinkies are good for an occasional treat, or to fatten up an underweight specimen. Their bones (actually cartilage) are easily digestible. It will not make them stop eating.

But the basic diet should be insects.

  4. listen to the guy before me

  5. Leopard geckos do best on a staple of crickets or mealworms. Superworms, like a large mealworm, are good staples too but sometimes get too big and need to be cut in half. Another less available staple is the silk worm. Waxworms are very fattening, and should rarely be offered to geckos as to avoid obesity, and/or fatty liver disease.Other options are Phoenix Worms, and tomato horn worms. Many people believe that Geckos are purely insectivores, however in the wild they will eat anything they can over power, including mice. Leopard Geckos will not eat vegetables however it can be a good idea to put some in there vivarium for the crickets to feed upon, this way they won't bite your leopard gecko. Another recommendation is feeding young leopard geckos mashed, raw egg yolks and egg whites for extra digestable protein.
