  1. This answer is one I have used to another question like yours but asking for the best driver for them.

I won't be giving you any reviews because I think this is good enough for you.

Everybody keeps asking what the best driver is for them.

We can't answer that question, and when people are giving you answers it's because they have heard of that club, like the make, or even own it them self.

Every golf club is built for a "Mr Average" so you will be lucky to fit into that range.

Also each club has different shafts, lofts, kick points (how soon the ball gets air bourne)

Go to a launch machine around you and hit each of the drivers and with the pro you can work out which driver is the best for your game.

You might find that none of them drivers are the "best" for you.

This happened to me, at the start of 2008 new rules meant I had to buy a new driver for competitions to form with the rules.

I tried out several second hand pings and mizuno. Once the bloke at American Golf had seen me hitting balls and how each club worked with me, he could say for e.g. I need a reg shaft because of my swing speed. That narrowed it down. This kept happening untill I got a Jack Nicklous in my hand.

I was hitting it 280yards and out of 100 I was scoring in the 80s.

I tried the Taylormade R7 just because I was offered one 2weeks before and I wasn't even able to hit it 200 and my scores were 30/100.

If thats not enough prove that every driver will do something different for you, then you have read all this for nothing :D

Good Luck with the new driver, and if you take my advice I guarantee improvements to your game.

  2. Adams is the bigger name, but name isn't everything.  Just because a bunch of guys on the Champions Tour are paid good money to play their product doesn't mean you should too.  Nickent is an up an coming company with great technology and pretty darn good pricing to go along with it.  Go with Nickent.  They're hybrids are really where it's at.  Better than the rest, and as a golf professional, I've tried them all.
