Should i get a MAC10 or MAC11 for carjackers?

Question

i want to protect my car because i love her, so i want a powerful gun that will blow away any thug that tries to steal my baby. MAC guns are compact but shoot so fast that 30 rounds will go in less than a second, so do you recommend that i buy a MAC? where i live, concealed carry is allowed and machine guns are also allowed with ATF permission.

or would you recommend a regular sidearm? if so, tell me what is the best gun for car defense. thx

OK,

For a legal MG you're going to pay a lot of money probably starting around 10K or more. Legally transferable MGs haven't been made for civillians since 1986.

I think you should take a formal firearms training course and learn about firearms before buying one based on your question.

I carry a Glock 19 and that is enough gun to defend myself.

I also have formal training and a license to carry concealed.

Do some more research and don't trust anything firearm related you see in the movies or TV...

no no no . . . . all wrong! in most states if your under 21 you cannot even own a pistol, let alone a fully automatic pistol. illegal possesion of a firearm is a felony, minimum of 5 years in the pokey, aint no car worth that. i suggest you  keep you  windows up and doors locked if your in a bad neighborhood. shooting somebody over a car is kind of not a good idea. chances are you just might get sued and wind up in the pokey if you don't have a ccw. you wanna rush somebody out . . . if there in your face trying to steal your car? point an air horn, ya know a can of compressed air like they use at football games, in there face and lay on that for a few seconds, trust me it'll scare the p**p out of em, you wont have to ask your parents to mortgage their house to hire a defense lawyer for you, you wont have to defend yourself in a case against premeditatewd murder, you wont have to do any jail time, your car won't get impounded for an investigation, your friends won't ostracize you because you were a confirmed killer, and you wont wake up with nightmares because you see the guys face every night that you killed over something that could have been easily replaced. do yourself a favor and check out this site, so you understand your rights as a potential, firearms owner . . .all you have to do is point and click on your state

Why not pull a mad max, pay $200 dollars for a Class III weapons Tax stamp, get a concealed weapons permit, and have a 8-12 inch sawed off shotgun, put more lead down range and actually may give you a slight degree of accuracy.

That is a very impractical choice of weapon for this type situation. A shotgun would be more suitable for these types of applications.

Car jackers are not supermen so will not require a machine gun, bazooka, rocket launcher or any other heavy artillery.  The sensable thing to do is to go buy a snub nose .357 mag.  Load it with Hydra shock ammo and you will have all that you need to handle car jackers.  One shot to the torso and they are down for the count.  No need to spray bullets all over the place cutting down innocent people.  You have to answer for that in a court of law, you know.  Spraying the world with bullets is pure Hollywood.  In real life, you could quite likely hit people whom you don't want to hit.  That is against the law and you will be arrested and charged accordingly.  Then you have to face civil court proceedings when the victims and their survivors sue you for killing their loved ones.  Nope, not even close to a good idea.  Use a handgun, place your shot carefully and the scene is under your control.

Get the MAC-10. 30 rounds of 45ACP is overkill, but still... I'm getting one too! The MAC11 is ugly and only 9mm, though the mini MAC-11 would be pretty cool if you really want something compact. Or if you have the money get a micro-UZI. Don't bother wasting money on a full auto, just get a semi. They are easy to bump fire you know.

A mac 10 or 11 is going to cost a small fortune to get and they don't have good accuracy so if some one is trying to steal your car you will probably hit your car with a few bullets also you cant concealed carry long guns or automatic firearms. I recommend you to take a firearms safety course and then considering a Glock 27 or a SW990L for concealed carry.

No need for a MG for personal defense seems very extreme and very uninformed. A handgun will do the same job, I recommend the Smith & Wesson M&P Series or a Glock.

my god, what do you got , a Ferrari? taken someones life for a car seams a bit....insane. Maybe a taser, or rubber bullets, but to kill over a car. I've got many pistols, I would recommend  one of the glocks for concealment, TO WOUND ONLY.

PAWLEAZE!!!  Are you familiar with the legalize involved in getting a full-auto?  ATF permission, RIGHT!  

First:  Find a MAC-10 or MAC-11 manufactured prior to 1986 and an owner that is willing to sell it to you.  You're down something like $10,000 US dollars.  The stamp fee is cheap at an additional $200.  Now:  Pass the background check B/S and get the local chief of police or sheriff to give you a letter of recommendation approving your purchase of a full-auto weapon.  So, after waiting around for the background check to come through so you can be approved, buy that over-priced, unwieldy MAC-10 or 11 to protect your car with!

Get a car alarm and save yourself some big bucks!
