  1. If you filed jointly with your wife you should get one, unless you owe anything to the IRS.

  2. If either one of you were claimed as a dependent on your return, you won't get a stimulus payment. Filing an amended return won't make any difference either.

  3. No you have to file your OWN TAX return.. but its not too late to amend it to file your own.. then youll get the stimulus check

  4. If you are claimed as a dependent, you will be ineligible for the rebate, but you may still benefit under the plan.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 status and income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, taxes would be cut in 2008 from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

So if you have taxable income in 2008, you will see a tax cut when you file in 2009.

  5. since your parents claimed you on their taxes  you will not be receiving a stimulus check the link below is to use the calculator to see if you qualify.

  6. No, dependents aren't eligible.  And your wife isn't eligible either, since you filed a joint return and can be claimed by your parents.  Since I assume that if you are married you are over age 16, your parents wouldn't get extra stimulus money for claiming you.
