Should i get a betta a guppy or a...?

if you have any other suggestions tell me but i dont want it to get to big

If you want a betta get a 5 gallon tank with a filter with a slow flow rate or your betta will be pushed away by the strong current. Feed your betta 2-3 pellets once a day or every other day.

Guppies can be kept in a 5 gallon. About 3-4 but make sure they are all males or they will breed like crazy. But it would be better in a 10 gallon.

I think bettas are a good choice! but try not to put them in the same tank with another fish...they will fight each other. I have seen this happen before at a friends who had one. You wouldn't want to risk losing a fish. Put it in a seperate aquarium or bowl.

Make sure you get a big enough tank, for starters. Guppies can get pretty big but can be housed together in a 10 gallon tank. Betta should be kept with only bottom level fish, like catfish, in a minimum of 5 gallons... 10 gallons is better.

Rasboras are easy-care, and don't get very big. Corydoras catfish are also fairly easily taken care of, but you should read up on cycling a tank if you want them; they are sensitive to ammonia. Mollies, platys and other livebearers are good starter fish; they're fairly hardy and can take some 'mistakes' made while learning.

beta guppies are really cool cause you can have more then one and some guppies light up! (well its an illusion) but beta guppies ROCK! SERIOUSLY GET ONE

bettas are cool but dont do much guppies are cool too (they are like little bettas) but they need a big tank.

Great question!!!!

1.)  Betta's!!! they are very cool and colorful.

2.)   They like to eat cold worm the most though.

3.)    if you put a male with another fish especially an angel fish it will attack.You can put a calm female betta with a male only if you know you female is pretty nice.

4.)    I suggest a 2.5 gallon tank (filters are optional).

5.)     bettas are also more exciting than guppies and most other fish.

6.)    they are rather easy to take care of.

7.) remember to clean the tank 1 100% clean a week!

betta... they are happier alone, most other fish like to school together. Betta's also requier less work than other fish since they don't require air bubbles and all that, just make shure you give it 1/4 fresh water every week if not in a tank, to help replace oxygen, etc.
