I'm a college student with her own place. I don't have a whole lots of money nor a lot of time. Which animal would be easiest for me the take care of?

(or perhaps if you can think of other cute fury animals?)

I love animals, and would take care of them, it's just my money and time is restricted.

  1. Dog...i love dogs

  2. DOG

  3. 2 cats, so they can play together. Believe it or not cats do get lonely when you're not home. Taking care of 2 is easier than taking care of one because they aren't as likely to get frustrated & spray, scratch, etc when they have a companion to play with. And cats are very little work compared to any other animal I know of.

  4. i wouldn't get a pet only because animals need attention just like humans do.

  5. I would pick cat out of those 2 choices, they are very independant and mostly take care of themselves, they are also very cuddly if u just want to sit and pet them, and they can be very playful

but they both come with expenses, dogs more than cats, Dogs are bigger responcibility

  6. Cats would be best for you. You don't have to walk them or and aren't time consuming. Dogs need to be walked so get a cat.

  7. I recommend a cat. I'm in the same situation you are and I have a cat! (:

Cats and dogs will both cost a lot to get vet check-ups and vaccinations, but in the long run cats would be better. They're largely independent, you can leave their food out, and they can use a litter box so if you're gone for hours on end for classes and/or work you don't need to be concerned. You can leave a toy out and they'll entertain themselves with it-- and cats sleep a LOT.

With dogs you have to spend a lot more time at home to give them the attention they need and desire. You also need to be able to let them outside when they need to use the bathroom. They need a lot of exercise, and without one of these things they can develop destructive habits, or you'll come home to find that the dog used your floor as a bathroom because you weren't there to let it outside.

  8. A cat I think would be better for you, they do almost all their stuff on their own all you do is feed water and change litter! and they are good pets!! we just got our first kitten a few weeks ago and shes awesome!!

  9. I love animals too.Rabits are nice for apartments. Their small, so they can rome around sometimes. If you have enough money, you can buy a ferret. You have to take good care of them, so they won't stink but they are totally worth it. Their cute and fuzzy and make great pets. Once I saw a lady walking down the street, with two feretts in leashes. They were so cute. What ever animal you get, I hope you have loads of fun with him. ( :

  10. Well with a dog it may be fun, but they require lots of attention and they need to be walked regularly, also the are pretty expensive. The bigger the dog the more care and the more you have to walk it.

Cat's on other hand need allot of attention, also they need special care such as neutering. Plus your furniture will thank you, but they will love you to death and snuggle with you and wait for you to come home, they too need allot of attention. Above mentioned need furecare as well, regular trips to vet, shots and all that, that runs into money.

Gerbils, Ginipigs, rats and mice, you can pet, but some all night lovers while you sleep, but with cute little mice and rats (but they get bigger)you can have allot of fun with, by consistently changing the inside of their cages. Birds are noisy to, but need the space to fly and you can't really snuggle any of them.

I would go for girbles, bunnies or cute little mice, they are cheap and if you treat them right you can pet, cuddle, snuggle and all that, also the fun part of being creative with building obstacles for their cages and all that.Watching research for food and their interests finding things and checking things out is very amusing, also once they get used to you they will out of your hand and sooooooo cute with their little fingers and when they wash themselves, adorable. You can have alot of fun with little mice, rats when bought small will grow, so beware and imform yourself ( with literature)about them or ask shoprep/vet. Now they do not require all sorts of vet visits and they eat cheap.

Have fun picking out a pet! But remember think before acting on an impulse, because all little creatures are heartbroken when given away after being with someone for a while, they will never be the same again.

  11. dont have any animals if you dont have enough time to look after them, they need lots off company

  12. be financially aware all pets cost money they get sick when you least expect it but for someone not home much cat hands down

  13. a dog is a better choice because they are a better pet then a dog

  14. Dog! They stay loyal their whole life. You may want a cat if your money is restricted, buy usually if you monitor the paper ads you can find "free dogs/cats to good homes". Still i say dogs, but your choice. If you do get dogs i reccommend labs, they are cute and very very loyal.

  15. cat is better
