  1. credit cards are a good way to start building credit but you have to be very careful to have the money to pay it all back on time! I would suggest you wait until you have a good enough job. It'll make it easier to get approved if you have a job. Do a lot of research about maintaining credit cards before you get into it. In any case you decide to get a credit card, you should try for a college card or a card that doesn't require any prior credit. The site below might help...

  2. The whole thing about getting/aquiring credit is to have a job and be able to pay the debt the reason to have credit cards or credit.  This is not being responsible, and the reason why there is a so much credit card debt now among youth.

  3. There's no point in getting a credit card if you have no way of paying it off. Of course, if someone is going to help you pay at least the minimum monthly payment, it may be possible to get one without a job. Many 'student credit cards' are designed for students in your situation. Here's some examples:

But like I mentioned before, it's not worth applying for one of these offers if you can't make monthly payments. It will only ruin your credit score and make it harder to get another card, purchase a car, or take out a mortgage in the future.

  4. You can apply for student credit card. Capital One Student Platinum is very good for student. http://bestcreditcardratings.com/student...

  5. Don't do it!

Not until you have a full paying job.

When I graduated from college I had 14 credit cards. That's how they get you! Sign up for a credit card...and get a free T-shirt. It's not worth it.

It took years to pay off that credit card debt, but I did it.

    Go to your dad!

  6. If you don't have a job, how are you going to pay your credit card each month?  If you can manage to make the minimum, that is how credit debt starts.  I'd hold off until you have some sort of employment.

  7. you'll need to have a co-signer on it, for most college students that would be Mom and Dad. ask your parents about putting you on their credit card to help you gain a credit background durring college then you be able to get one when you are out and on your own.
