hi i was wondering if i should get the desert eagle .50 cal hand gun. i was thiking about getting the polished chrome or the gold titanium. if i were to get one i would probably look for a used model to save some money. And no i dont play call of duty.....(people always say stuff relating to it) so do you think it worth the money if it were used and in good condition?

  1. Only if you want an expensive door stop.

  2. Glock 19.

  3. If you get one, make sure you have another QUALITY pistol to shoot while the DE is broke down and being repaired.

  4. ok listen i know they are cool looking guns and all but they are not practical. they are always breaking and in need of repair. i know i wanted one til i started actual learning bout it. and i do play call of duty 4 and i dont even use it in the game. it is not practical. its better to get a .45 that is overly priced like the DE and you will still be getting a better deal. anyways why do you need a bullet that big. and if you are going to get one look for one that is like iron or steel.

  5. no

First you should learn more about the gun rather than just worry about it's color.  Only morons say '50 cal' rather than refer to the chambering's true name, which you should at least do enough research so you know.

As it stands right now, you don't even have enough information to buy the right kind of ammo for it.

Now, once you do a bit of research, you will know that the Deagle is overly expensive, overly large, and overly fragile and entirely silly.

  6. Make sure when buying a used gun - there is some warranty covering safety issues - know what to look for & do your research.

A desert eagle has a tad bit of recoil so know your abilities....you don't want a broken wrist.

  7. If you really want one then get one. But you could get a few more practical guns for the price you will pay for that one. The ammo isn't all that cheap and you probably won't want to carry it on you for defense purposes. If someone gave me one I would take it but I wouldn't throw the money down on one. I am more of a semi-auto rifle guy myself. I have a few hand guns. One of them being a Beretta 92. Carrying that thing on my person is a royal pain in the seat I could only imagine what carrying a hand cannon like the desert eagle around would be like.  It comes down to what you want. If it is really something that fascinates you then go on ahead. I buy guns that alot of people would tell me not to buy for various reasons. I just want it so I get it. It is the same with you.

  8. No, you will find it is a VERY bad idea to buy it. It is considered the most expensive yet terrible quality gun on the market

  9. the only people that buy piescs of junk like you are describing, are very inmature people, that want to show off what they wasted a bunch of their money on

  10. Go to a shooting range that rents out hand guns or fire a friends hand gun first before making a purchase, thats if you have not already done so. Just a thought, i think i would want one but I have not shot one yet. I am sure if I were to shoot a 50 cal, I may not want to buy one.

  11. Q:  should i get a desert eagle?  so do you think it worth the money ?

A:  Quite frankly, No.  The Desert Eagle is a behemoth pistol that doesn't seem to fit any particular need especially in .50 Action Express.  A DE .357 Magnum might find a place as a defensive weapon in the event that someone just prefers an auto-loader over a revolver.  However the big Fifty is too big for personal defense.  Too big for home defense (think over-penetration and liability).  It is too big and heavy to lug around concealed or even open-carry.  Even if it were available in lightweight titanium imagine the recoil such a beast would have in .50 Action Express!  Hunting?  Sure, but for the weight you might as well be lugging around a rifle.

Final note:  Desert Eagles are pricey.  Used?  Why not, I'm sure there are people out there who bought DEs in .50 AE, shot them once and are now ready to unload them!  A friend of mine tried to sell me one of the early DE Fifties for a thousand dollars.  I actually thought about it... For about 10 seconds!

  12. Get one if you want one.  If you want a serious hunting handgun, that is not it.  Get a single action ruger.  They are a lot less expensive and less complicated.  There are also better swmis out there for target and self defense.  Any 1911 has the DE beat.  But again, if a 6 pound cannon is your thing, get one and have a great time.

  13. It depends if the used one is like near the price of the new one then you need to get the new one but if the used one is way less in price than the new one get the used one.

  14. yeah i would like one 2
