Should i get a job im 17 and all my mates have jobs does this mean i should get one to?

due to the fact that i came into alot of inheritance last year, ALOT, and so i dont need the money, but i feel a bit under pressure from others in college who all talk about having jobs, i feel like im a bit lazy, should I, after all the other people have jobs to get the money but i dont need it. what should i do

well you got money? then do it for the experience!

Its great for the future! and i know you say you dont need the money now, but you could save all the money you make and put it in a bank account:D

Get a job.  Maybe just part-time.  It will be fun and you will learn from it.

You should get a job, ok so you`ve got a lot of money, will it last the rest of your life ? Get a job and add to your money, the price of everything keeps rising, maybe your money will be gone in 20 years ! Just keep adding and you will have a comfortable old age. We hear of so many people having to pay for their own cancer treatment and OAP`s having to choose to eat or heat. You will be a comfortable OAP !! Think ahead, what the future may hold.

you could always do volunteer work as you say you don't need to work for money, so give some of your free time up to help those who need it, at least then you wont feel lazy.

regardless of whether you have inherited a lot of money or not is not the real issue here.. thats life and you had no control over it but lucky you ..

do you want to work is the question? do you want to go on and do further studies.. or just have a year off from every thing?

just cos every one else is doing it doesnt mean you have to do it too...

you might like working now and yet you might regret every day.. do things when you feel like your ready.. you make the decision not those that are around you..

Do what you want if You do get a nice job you will enjoy like working in a game store and help your family with the money or put it away for your future good luck. But you don't have to do what everyone else is doing.

You could do it for the experience( it would go on your cv that you've worked before.

Its up to you if your want a job or not. You shouldn't let other people make you feel like you need a job or something when you don't. Only get a job if you really want one.

you could always join clubs and be very active (an officer) or be active in charitable organizations - that would give you something to talk about - your activities - which is parallel to their jobs.  there are lots of clubs at college and always lots of worthy charities to volunteer to work for.

No matter how much money you think you have, it's never enough.  A lot today can become a little tomorrow.  Since you do have some money stashed away, you might want to consider getting a job and living off your job while allowing the inheritance to increase in value through wise investments, etc. That would be the responsible thing to do.
