Should i get a poontoon boat, or a speed boat?

depends on what you want to do with it?

fishing, skiing, pleasure cruise or party for 12?

a Pontoon boat is NOT a good sea boat. It cannot handle rough water and requires a special trailer. They are thought of as "party" boats for 6 to 12 ppl.They are best for inland lakes, rivers or other protected waters.

It just depends on what you're looking for.  I'd go for the poontoon boat, but that's just me

A poontoon boat would be better for parties and bigger groups of people, you could probably even spend a night out on the lake sort of camping out sort of thing~

With a speed boat, it's only fun for the few that can fit on it and probably wouldn't want to sleep on it

I would have both. You can get a hydro- plane hull. It's kind of high powered speed boat, but skims the surface on two hulls/almas. I should mention:

high horse power = high speed!
