Should i get a rat or guinea pig?

Question

rats are smarter but ginnies look cuter i like both but i dont which to get

BTW im getting pairs

both males for rats

or both females for ginnies

well i woukd rather get a guinea pig because there really sweet and are not so jumpy like rats. but your right rats are smarter but ginnies are cute and are really calm

guinea pig they are very sociable train easy and  don't bite female is the best like you said

Hard choice both have great personality as pets.

Rats seem to be more personable and agile, but they live for only 2 to 4 years.

Guinnies live much longer usually 7 years and they make the cutest noises when they are happy or talking.

it depends on what kind of pet you want to get.

rats are much more playful but i find them more difficult to handle because they like to grip onto things & are much more flexible.  they're not so good for just sitting there & petting, they're very fun to watch though.  they're also very clean & well mannered.

i like guinea pigs better simply because i find them easier to handle because they're not very fidgety and they're fine with just being carried or sitting on your lap. guinea pigs also make the CUTEST noises when they're happy (or even when they're scared) also, they're not very agile, so there's no risk in escaping (i have an open air cage). however they're not as playful (they're more shy), although with time, they'll become more used to you and less skittish.

i would go with rats if you want more playful, interesting shorterm pets. guinea pigs if you want long term, sweet, sociable pets.

Rats are awesome pets! I have had them for years. I have also had a guinea pig but she wasn't as playful. My rats like to play outside in the garden pots or in my shirt. The only thing about rats I found is they don't live as long (well in my experience anyway.) Have fun!

get two boy rats they are the most lovable of all pets and love to ride on ur shoulder.they love to be pet and love attention.
