  1. it is all about what you really want. i have a green cheek and two weeks ago got another one, they get along well, @ the begining you will have to make sore they don't hurt each other but i think everything will be alright.

If you really like birds and think you can take care of them two i don't see any problen in you getting another one, i wanna say even more, i am sure you will love them. Good luck and hope you make the decision of getting it. Bye

  2. I have a 2 year old Sun Conure and a nearly one year old fairly quiet male Indian Ringneck that I added 8 months ago. Originally both were in separate cages, but now they share a larger cage and get along  well. Both are extremely tame. The only caution I would give you is to be fully aware that Sun Conures can be SO LOUD. Ours screams in the mornings for a short while, and a longer while from 4 - 6 pm. Sometimes we put her cage outside (we live in a sunny climate) for a break. She also screams when someone comes in the house, when someone raises a voice, if the vacuum comes out, when the phone rings (particularly difficult to converse over the din), if the dog barks...she's basically an apple-loving alarm system. She's also very affectionate, but our ears are ringing! Maybe another quieter green cheek would be a better consideration.

  3. Steve, it isn't what I think, but the facts that you need.

Indeed, sun conures voice are ear piercing.  And often constant. They are not screaming, that is their voice but it makes some people crazy.

Secondly, it is not likely your green cheek will like another conure coming into it's territory and having to share your time with another bird.

I recommend you keep and love the one you are with.
