  1. If directv is installed properly you won't have problems when it rains. Mine works 99.9% of the time and only loses signal in heavy severe storms. Directv can get a bit pricey, but it is the best service out right now.

  2. Yes.  Dish Network stinks.  Mine kept going out and they charged me $30 to come and fix their mistakes.

  3. it's alright, i've used it but if it rains, you're screwed. i have time warner, and it bugs me a times, but it's probably my favorite.

  4. I would recommend it.   I think it depends on your preference.  Direct TV has a lot of sports. I also liked there packages a little better then Dish.   I get more educational channels..such as the Sci Channel and Natl Geo.   For me it was the simple fact that they offered more of what I watched then Dish.  I also had some problems with Dish customer service as I could never get anyone who spoke english if I called late in the day.Probablyy my own fault for calling late).  In my area they offer a discount if you have ATT phone service, So my bill is around 49.99. for   a DVR  and aseparatee standard receiver. I hope this helps.

  5. i had Direct tv  and the quality was good but when a thick cloud came you could not get a single

i have dish network and the only time it dose not work is in a bad thunder storm and it works when most of it passes
