Should i get insurance on a car with a wrecked/salvaged title?

im buying my friends '02 mustang gt with a wrecked title or salveged im not sure yet. has about 78k miles. what i want to know is if i should get insurance or just liability for it. the air bags have been deployed and the front bumper is kinda just holding on by a string. i really want it because she will sell it to me cheap!

the car sounds like a PieceOfShit, but hey if you like it. I have actually had full insurance on a vehicle with a salvaged title.  AAA will do it, but I don't know anybody else that will.

Depending on what state you live in, you may not be able to insure it.  Florida will not insure a vehicle with a salvage title.

if it has a salvaged title insurance will only give you 3rd party/liability insurance. I've never heard of anyone being able to get full coverage on a salvaged titled car.

I don't think anyone will insure that car for anything but liability insurance
