  1. you're a boffin but sometimes you have to accept you got an A. Don'y worry it's still a great grade. And congrats. If you really feel disheartened then try getting it remarked.

  2. Congratulations!

    You have flawless results.

Just focus on your A-levels now, and aim to study in a good university.

  3. The school organizes the remarks, and you wont be necessarily awarded an A*, just because you get the boundary by one or two marks. With A* grades they also make a judgment on the quality overall etc, not just the marks.

  4. I think it is worth getting it remarked because you may just get enough for an a*. Remember if your only 1% off and lets say the worst happens and they take off marks, you should still keep your a. Also English is one of those subjects where marks can really vary and if you get it remarked the chances are very high the marker will pity you and up your paper to an a* because in English there is really no right or wrong answer. If it was me i would definately ask your school to get it remarked. Just ask your English teacher. I hope this was helpful.

  5. I wouldn't bother =) An A in English Lit is more than enough to study it next year, and once you get started on your A Levels, your exact results at GCSE don't matter anymore.

    Congratulations on your results! x

  6. you're pathetic. thousands of people would love to be half as clever as you.

  7. No point.

Just concentrate on your A levels now.

And what makes you think you will GAIN marks? You could equally be marked down.

  8. being a person who also aimes for A*s, since you were actually that close to getting a * i would remark it, if finicially capable.

how i see it is, whether you do get raised or not, you should actually call the paper back and learn from your mistakes so you dont' make them again in A-levels and stuff.

  9. I wouldn't bother as an A is good enough to do A level english lit. And sometimes they mark you down when you get it remarked!

  10. In the scheme of things it doesn't matter that much!

Put it this way if you had to pay £200 for a remark - would you?

Well done, by the way - clever cloggs!
