Should i get paid drive time or gas money?

Question

I work construction and i travel all over town in my own vehicle. Work has slowed down as of lately and now iam working out of town. I travel about 1.5 hours to work to work and 1.5 back home in my personal vehicle about 87 miles. Should i get paid travel time or get gas money?

nope if you work for someone else, but if you are a contractor, just build a little into your charges...

neither, it is not business. if you were meeting a client yu would get gas but in your case nada

With the price of gas now days, I would look at the gas money being most important. When you really look at the whole picture, you should be getting a rate which includes both your time and mileage with a gas factor included.
