i think my limewire is making my computer slow.

its a pretty new computer (i got it in february) and i did download a few phoho editors to test them out but i deleted them all.

should i just get rid of my limewire all together? thats the only thing i have right now on my computer downloaded.

what other music program can i download that will guarentee no viruses or slowing down of my computer?

is itunes free? and 100% safe to download?

also how do i completely remove limewire from my computer if i was to chose to make that decision?

  1. Limewire completely messed up my computer when I had it on there. In my opinion, you should get rid of Limewire, it only causes trouble.

iTunes is free and safe to download, but you do have to pay for the songs.

Go to your program files to get rid of Limewire completely.

  2. I would remove it if i was you.

I'm guessing you have a pc although i don't i can tell you how to remove it.

Go to control panel-add or remove programs - find lime wire and click remove

(if you have vista sorry i cant help you there.)

and yes iTunes is 100 percent safe and free

Or you could just buy a mac with iTunes pre installed :)

  3. forget limewire...virus is written all over that. Get a rapid share account and go to site such as katzforums.com and divixturka.net to download stuff.

  4. I highly doubt your Limewire is making your computer slower, unless you always have it open and/or people are downloading off of you. If it's closed, I don't see how it could make your computer slower.

You can try Frostwire, which is identical to Limewire, except it is 100% free of viruses, malware, spyware, etc. (whereas there is some debate over whether Limewire is free of these things or not).

iTunes is free and 100% safe to download--it is created and distributed by the Apple company! But keep in mind that everything you download off of iTunes you must pay for.

If you choose to remove Limewire, I suggest you use something like revouninstaller, which uninstalls it and then searches for any registry keys or files and folders related to the software. You can download it here: http://www.revouninstaller.com/
