  1. One cockatiel is best for what you want it for. Later on you can make up your mind depending on how much fun you are having with the one you get now.

  2. i have 2 cockaiels and its not a big deal. one sings and its SO funny if you take babys u train them by whistling they will learn too sing when they grow up.

  3. Well when my cockatiel was younger he was very friendly, climed on my head, up my arm. So they are pretty friendly if you treat them right. I'd get 2 if you think you can handle it.

  4. Hi,

If you want the bird to be tame then only get one, two birds tend not to be very tame.

  5. one bird can get bored and depressed easily. you should make sure you talk/play with it often. if you think you can handle this and give constant attention (like a child) you can have only one. if not, get two, at least they'll have a companion and friend.

it is not true that you can't bond with two birds, it is possible, just harder.

i'd get two for the sake of the bird, you never know when you'll have to leave it alone for a day or two or even less. work, travel...etc

  6. If you want the bird to be bonded to you, you should only get one. If you have two, sometimes the birds will bond to each other and will not be as friendly.
