  1. Well that would be in opinion , I say nope because ham hams are soo much cuddlier and let you play with them more, mice are cute but I think you should stick to the ham hams!

  2. Well, mice are the BEST PETS, (next to rats of course) In my opinion, mice make MUCH BETTER pets than hamsters, so yes, I would say that, if that's what you want, than go on ahead.

  3. if you like your hamster then keep it. if you get bored of pets easily then stop getting them only to have them for awhile, then give them away. that's not very kind

  4. I think that's kind of sad. Do you bond with your pets? I wouldn't give my rabbit up if it meant I could get 2 chinchillas. My rabbit is my best friend, and giving him up would be betraying his trust in me.

In the end it's your decision whether you keep it or not. I just think it's sad you're willing to give your pets up for new ones.

  5. You shouldn't be allowed any animals if you treat them as disposable!  You sound very irresponsible and un-caring.

  6. Im really sorry i dont know........srry

    my question??

  7. Absolutely not. I'm sorry, but that's completely irresponsible and I'm surprised your mother would allow you to do that. Pets are not disposable. They're living, breathing creatures. Your hamster depends on you for everything. When you got your hamster, you made a commitment to it for its entire life.

Why would you even consider giving your hamster up? Did the newness wear off? What happens when you get mice, the newness wears off, and you want a new pet? Are you going to give them up too?

Keep your hamster. Be a responsible pet owner. The pet YOU choose to buy is the pet YOU are responsible for for its entire LIFE.

I have two gerbils. I love them greatly, and I want a hamster. If I were to give them up, my mom would let me get a hamster, but I would NEVER do that. I made a commitment to them when I got them. I will NEVER give them up unless there were extreme circumstances, and getting a new pet is not considered extreme. You should treat your hamster the same way.

  8. I'd recommend keeping the hamster. While different pets seem really appealing, you build stronger bonds as time goes by. Keep the hamster, and if its getting "boring" then find different ways to play with it or different things for it to do.

You can make "furniture" aka play structures out of clean sterile wood, toilet paper rolls, Popsicle sticks (craft sticks), etc. Treats can include greens from the produce section of the grocery store (organic is best if you can), samples of different hays from feed stores, etc. Enrich your hamster's life!

Have you ever heard of clicker training? That's a real kick, and you would probably have the only trained hamster on your block.

Here in the U.S., animals are treated as if they were disposeable toys .. use until boring, then trade in for another. You can fight this trend, even though its tempting. Value the pet you have more than the one you don't have.

  9. No! is your hamster disposable? he cares about you! don't you like him? he depends on you. once you get a pet, you keep it for it's whole life. if you want another pet, wait .

  10. NO THAT IS CRUEL!!!...dont you bond with them you made commitment to it!

  11. NO if mice every run away they never come back! they are very nervous

  12. noooo , thats awful

  13. No!  When you get a pet, you're agreeing to take care of that particular animal for the rest of its life and do everything to make sure it gets the care it needs!  These are live animals, not things that can be traded when you want a new one.  If you think living beings can just be tossed like that, then you have no business with any pets at all except rocks and should find the hamster a good, loving home, and don't get another pet yourself.  I love my pets enough to know that I'd never trade them for anything.

  14. Yes, Mice are easier to take care of.

  15. Noo!

You must have grown a bond with your hamster.

How could you abandon it :(

  16. I have a hamster hes a spoiled little thing, i also have 5 parrots 2 rats and a savannah monitor, just because you want a mouse you'd give it up ? You got that pet thinking this is cool i will bond with it. Its called commitment , thats redic you should even have a pet =] they are for responsible people.

  17. I say no! Keep and enjoy the pleasures of being a hamster owner.

  18. keep your hamster! Why would you even ask this, there are haamsters that need homes and you just gonna add another one?
