okay i'm 13. My aunt and uncle invited me to go to italy with them ( i live in CA and so do they) they travel a ton and were also going to stop to visit some of her family... it is going to be during christmas for like a week and a half. I get homesick really easy and i have horrible stomach problems. I am allergic to wheat and dairy so i can eat barely anything. I get nervous really easy to. But i don't know because it is like a once in a lifetime oppurtunity. It is kind of like my turn to do something with them because my older sister got to go to Japan w/them during the summer but she is almost 16... SHOULD i go????? PLEASE HELP i know it is up to me, but i would really like your opinion(s). oh and if you have any info on italy like if it is unelievable or whatever please tell!!!

  1. Italy is great, I just got back from there a month ago, and as for the food, you won't have too much of a problem if you just let them know of your situation. I think your nervousness and homesickness is all in your head, honestly, the moment you set foot there, you'll forget about everything you left behind.

I'm 17 I traveled with 35 other teenagers and 4 adults (needless to say I found my fair share of trouble and good times there) and I'm looking into study abroad programs for when I go to college next year, that's how much I loved it there.

  2. Well Italy is not bad, and there are things you can eat (believe me, I'm allergic to dairy, sea food, nuts and chocolate and I survived). A lot of people love Italy, I think it's just OK, but you might love it. Go and have an adventure, you're young you should be able to just do it, don't hold yourself down...

  3. italy is beautiful. theres so many things to see.... and if you are saying it is a once i a lifetime thig.... you definitely should go.i get homesick really easily too, but when i went i went for a month! when i was there.... if orgot all about home! i didnt even really want to leave. so my opnion is.... take the chance and go.

  4. hi! i'm italian and i'm intollerant to dairy, too. you must to come there, in Italy, because there are a lots of beutiful things! your aunt and your uncle will be attention to your diet, because in Italy there is a lot of products without gluten and lactose. if you want, my mother have a shop of cakies and cakes without lactose, wheat and eggs,if you want; they're very tasty like normal tartlets.  I can give you the site http://www.desertsicefield.com/.

ps: i'm sorry to my UGLY english.

  5. go,  not only will you have an experience you will remember forever.. it will help you get over your fears..

as for food,, you really have a lot of great natural options... if you are allergic to wheat, then be careful with pasta of course.. so instead eat fish, or veggies... lots of natural foods over there...

i am a bit jealous, i have issues about traveling too,, but when i do get myself to go and when i get home, i have a feeling of YEAH i CAN DO THIS!!!!! and the next trip is a lot easier and less stressful..

if you have issues about flying and such, go to the doc and see if they can give you something to relax while on the plane....
