Should i go buy a pregnancy test today and take it today ?

Question

i really feel like i may be pregnant my period starts around the 6th of every month is it to early to test would i be wasting time and money if iget a test and take it today even if i get one of those before your missed period tests, if i am pregnant is there any chance that it could show up today positve even though i have not statrted my period yet please help ?:)

it might be too early but you never know, sometimes your body produces enough of the hormone to tell you.  you can always buy one that has two tests in it. you can always take one now and if it is negative and you still are nervous and feel like you are then take the other one in a week or so.

I would wait because the test could say that you aren't pregnant when you really are.  Wait until at least the day after your missed period.  It would be more accurate.  Best of Luck to you.

Most pregnancy tests are just over 50% accurate when used 4 days before your expected period, but about 80% accurate 3 days before and in the 90% range one or two days before your expected period. Your HCG level nearly doubles everyday in the beginning, so the longer you wait, the more accurate the test will be and the darker the line will be if it's positive.

In other words, if you are pregnant, there is a possibility that a test taken today will show a positive result, but if you can wait another couple of days, you are more likely to have the results show up (if you are pregnant).

everyone is different it is possible it might show up but if you buy today wait until morning to take it. Your morning pee has the most amount of hormone. My friend just told me about it last week and i got mine in 3 days and it was in a package that you couldnt tell what it was. I think the earliest at home test tests for is 4 days before expected period. Each day you take one closer to your period, the chance of detecting the HCG hormone goes up. 4 days early there is a 53% chance it will be detected and then at 2 days it increases to like 87%. So you could totally take one today, and if nothing shows up take one again in 2 days, Use first morning urine as it has the most concentrated amount of HCG hormone. Good luck girl!

Generally a pregnancy test will be accurate a week or so after you conceive, regardless of your period.

Its 4 days too soon, I wouldn't waste my money, but if you really can't wait, go to the dollar store and buy a couple cheap ones.
