  1. They both sit on their asses all day doing Jack, so which ever one pays more.

  2. Gee, I thought they were the same thing.

  3. Teaching - In my opinion I think it would feel so much more rewarding - we hear these funny stories from all these teachers about special students and funny situations .. & etc..

Being a police officer is dangerous, you cant really relax in your atmosphere, it's probably really stressful .

Oh and you get a 2 month vacation in teaching :)

Good luck with whatever you choose !

  4. the one  that pais the most money ofcourse!!!!!!

  5. being a teacher is very rewarding im many ways and also helps you grow as well.being an officer is the same but you may face life-threating or life-taking situation.them i would think it may sole relate to there faith or belief.you have to really have to know yourself.each has it rewards but,as there are good times, there are bad times too.just really look at yourself..try to push your limits and anything is possible.good luck!!!

  6. Policing is a great varied job, be prepared to work through the night though and dont always expect to leave the station when your shift is over as you may run over with a job. There are ways of promotions and a great social life is  readily made as there are loads of night/days outs with colleagues for one reason or another!

You get a great pension and the wages are good too.

sorry i dont no anythin bout teachin, hope this helps!!

    good luck.

  7. Both jobs sacrafice a lot of time

    I would say...Teacher

  8. Teacher definetly. Police are in much more danger and you don't get the satisfaction of helping people/kids quite as much as you do when you teach.

  9. Police officer. At least you get a weapon.

  10. Neither!  I went out with a Police Officer and all he did was moan how much paperwork he had to do!    Be something exciting - like a pilot!

  11. Follow your heArt.

  12. I know lots of teachers and police officers. Try to get some experience of both before you jump. See if you can shadow a teacher and a police officer for a day.

Both groups have above-average depression rates, but it doesn't have to be that way for you. It depends on the school, or the station, you're working in (and your rank).

Both groups involve a *lot* of interaction, often with messed-up people who don't particularly want to be there. If you're not good with people, you might want to rethink this choice.

The happiest members of both groups are the ones with the right attitude. If you don't have an aggressive, confident, helpful, and kind disposition, you're likely to be unhappy.

And while money is slightly important, it shouldn't be the deciding factor. Put that out of your head.

Good luck, and don't lose hope.

  13. If you have to ask you're not committed, at this point you would fail the police entrance board.

  14. If you are planning on getting married, don't become a police officer because you come home every day a little pissed off from all the messed up things you have seen and the divorce rate is extremely high.  If you're not planning on getting married, then by all means become a police officer.

  15. Police officer, they are sexier.

  16. Teacher you ge the summer off and less hours. :D

  17. well id talk to someone but if you whant more money police officer if you whant more time for you teacher if youre good with people both do what youre heart says

  18. PO .... for sure

  19. speaking as a teacher whose best friend is a police officer, only you can answer this question. both jobs are demanding and rewarding.

teaching throws you daily challenges and it is incredible to be able to shape young minds. i teach 10 year old boys and they never fail to astonish and entertain me.

with regards teaching v policing, teaching has nicer hours and holidays. i know my friend is often jealous when im on yet another school break. however, she knows that she could never be happy as a teacher. best of luck
