  1. Not unless you are planning on dropping your pants then i would suggest going on birth control and then again your under age to be having s*x your not suppose to strat having s*x till your over 16 PLEASE DONT HAVE s*x YOUR TO YOUNG WAIT TILL YOUR AT LEAST 16 OR OVER !!

  2. Talk to the doctor about it.

Don't just go on the pill because your Mom thinks you

    should.

(And show the answers you get on YAHOO to Mom-

    she might reconsider....)

  3. YOUR 13, YOU DO NOT NEED BIRTH CONTROL UNLESS YOUR SEXUALLY ACTIVE.

  4. I'm not sure it would help. Ask a doctor. :)

  5. Get the facts about the pill.  It is silly to be terrified of something that you know nothing about.

  6. if your period went on for 2 weeks you should visit with your doctor

  7. Dont use birth control unless you are going to have s*x.

Birth control is not healthy for women. Your body is going to be fine. You can use tampons even if you are a virgin. I used tampons for 5 years before I had s*x and lost my virginity. Just use the skinny ones. Don't start hormone based birth control unless it is absolutly necessary. Read the warnings on the labels.

  8. pads have nothing to do with the pill lol  why does your mom want her 13 year old on the pill   and your terrified by a pill you need help girl and so does mom

  9. ok go to the doctor and ask him or her what you should do because for some people this pills have side effects and can get you fat! good luck i hope you get better sweetie!

  10. Birth control pills will not stop your periods. You actually have to stop your medication when you are expecting your period. So since god made you a girl, you don't have much of a choice.

Also, birth control pills are not 100% effective. Of course condoms are not 100% either but it's safer then birth control pills PLUS you're also protected from STD's as opposed to pills which offer no protection whatsoever.

On the plus side, condoms normally make the guy last longer. So you'll enjoy it more. So MAKE him wear it.

  11. Hon you need to know that birth control does not stop your periods, if anything it helps to get them regular so you will stil have to be wearing something (pad or tampon) for coverage.  I don't understand why your mom wants to put you on bc, it makes no sense.  Did you just start getting periods or are you having problems with them now?  Just seems that some info is missing here, but in any case your doctor is the best judge of what to do if you are having problems.  Good luck!

  12. You're not old enough to worry about that yet. Some women go on the pill because they need to regulate their periods but yours is so new, it will be years before it's regular. You definitely need to be on the pill for about a month before you have s*x so plan it out but I think you should have a few years.

  13. Even on the birth control you get your period, so you would still need to wear pads. You're way too young to be on the pill.

  14. you can use pills to control your period however they are FULL of hormones and at 13 i think u might not want to do that to your body just yet cause u are still developing.  i would consult a doctor.

  15. you and your mom should sit down with a doctor to discuss options. don't be worried about birth control, it's a tiny little pill and it won't hurt you. your doctor may want you to wait to see if it regulates on your own though.

ok, to the people who say you're too young or need to wait until you're sexually active, no you don't. i was offered bc by my doctor at 13 because i've always suffered from terrible cramps! why not use a pill that can help you! this is something your doctor can tell you!

  16. sweetheart mom knows best, but if you are not having s*x or have no interest in having no s*x .No you should not get on birth control pill, because it giving you a option to try it out. Also try to have a open relationship with your mother, talk to her so she can understand were you coming from.

  17. Well, it's the pill or nothing then.  There are shots, but some people don't react well to the shot (bleed all the time, gain weight, etc).  The pill is REALLY tiny (about 1/4 the size of an aspirin) and easy to take.  There are also new chewable pills on the market!

DO see your doctor and figure out a way to help yourself.  There's no reason you should have to suffer with 2-week long periods!

  18. I'm 15 and i understand your dilemma. I wouldn't go on birth control. You're young and your period is meant to be released for a reason. I have older friends who take birth control and sometimes forget, it's not pretty. They often get sick and regret taking the pill. I'd also wear tampons too. They're safe if you use them correctly. You have to change them a few times a day and don't wear them at night. Pads are hard during the day, but you should tolerate them through the night.

  19. Only use birth control if you are planning on having s*x. Birth control wasn't created to shorten periods it was created to prevent women from having children. I know you hate your period...what girl honestly likes it. Some people have it longer than others just live with it. It's nothing unnatural to have a long period.

  20. The pills will help control your period. I don't know why you would be afraid of pills, I have been on them for several years and nothing bad has come from it. You can take the low dose ones.

  21. That's good that you are practicing abstinence.

If you have irregular periods, talking to your doctor is the best thing for you.  They can prescribe a pill that is similar to a low-dose birth control pill that will not prevent pregnancy, but gives enough of a hormone that it will help regulate your periods.  Pads really are not that bad, especially if you wear an ultra-thin.  Try Always Long Ultra-thin maxi with wings- they are paper-thin, where you can wear normal clothes and you can't even tell.  They also provide really great protection.

  22. Unless you find your periods to be particularly unpleasant, I would wait.

I would definitely advise it when you DO start having s*x, as it's one of the most effective contraceptives out there.

My girlfriend just got started on Yaz (birth control) and the first month it made her reasonably miserable, tired, achey, etc. But now she (and I) love the stuff.

My opinion in short: Wait until you start having s*x, or unless you are completely miserable with your period.

  23. *****Just to be sure your period is lasting for 2weeks at a time or you just started your first period 2 weeks ago? I think thats confusing a lot of people...If your period is lasting up to two weeks then read my answer...if not then you dont need BC.

You are very young but I know a lot of girls who were put on birth control (by their doctors) to regulate their periods. Talk to your doctor and see what options you have. The pill usually causes shorter, lighter periods but you still get them. You have to take it every day at the same time for it to work. The pill is very small and are usually sweet for some reason lol...this is something you need to really think about first and explore all of your options before deciding on one.

****Also I suggest a low dosage if you do go on BC.

  24. Don't use birth control unless you are planing to have s*x. And try tampons.  your period is only supposed to last for one week not 2.  and 28 days l8ter u should have it again.  Try tampons they work. Also I am 13 too so trust me use tampons if you HATE pads ( me too).

  25. Do research for yourself. Google and yahoo info on birth control that way you can find out which is the best for you. There is also the Depo shot - but I would definitely research before you decide.

If you do your own research and you know about all of them, this may help you feel more comfortable taking it.

    best of luck.

  26. well; i guess you should if you dont like pills; use the shot. but its only one disadvantage with the shot; he make you you kinda fat for a while; listen to your mom she knows what is best for you

  27. birth control might not be the best option for your age, but if your period is really hindering you, then talk to your doctor before committing. if you really dont want to then dont. its your body and your choice, it shouldn't be your moms.

try tampons. they are scary at first but make life 1000 time easier.

  28. You should think about going on Depo Provera. It's a shot, they inject it into your side usually. It's free for teens and you can get it at your local planned parenthood. And you only have to get it once every 3 months or so.
