Should i go see the dentist?

I had such a big cavity in my last molar on the upper left that they had to drill away most of the tooth. They put a cap or something on, anyway my jaw didn't stop hurting and the hump of gum behind the tooth was swollen alittle so i went back and he said that the band? had dug into the gum behind it were the wisdom tooth was growing was infected and irritated so he gave me meds. all the pain and swelling is gone but there's a hole there, like when you pull out a tooth and you can feel with your tounge were the root of the tooth was. should i go get it cheked out?

Yes, however I would choose a different dentist, preferably someone with really good referrals... The first guy had two shots and botched them both...the only reason to go back to them would be to dispute the charges and request a refund so you can pay someone else to fix their mess.
