  1. Years ago i had a broken forearm. I wrapped it in a plastic bag, sealed it tight, and went on out.

My advice is this - go out on mellow days, at mellow breaks, with lots of people around. You're obviously not gonna paddle well so forget about overhead days.

Also, if your arms broke above the elbow, you're kinda outa luck.

  2. NO    NO   NO    ............NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO1

  3. No, you shouldnt. Because on chance, you may fall again and make your injury worse.

  4. heck yes!  It's just a broken arm

  5. You must really like to surf but no, you should not until your arm is healed.  If you rush it you could end up damaging you arm permanently.  I am sure you do not want that.  Patience are a virtue.  Now is a good time to work on that virtue.

  6. No. You coul make it worse. Don't risk it.

  7. depends what your doctor says, i did it once, but my doctor said i could because i had a huge contest ! and the surf was small so i took the chance.

  8. Mate, can ya paddle out? Is the cast waterproof? Can ya swim with it?

Wear a life jacket maybe just in case. Go for it!

  9. Why not! When you are casket it.

  10. i would.

i know technicially...your not supposed to because you will hurt it more, and ruin your cast

but hey....you only get one life to live!

and how many people can say they have been surfing with a broken arm?

  11. if you are able to, yess. do it. as long as you have a water proof cast

  12. Hehe!  No silly!  You could make it worse!  I would just wait until it was healed and the doctor says that its ok!

I hope you get better!! :D

  13. If the cast is waterproof and the elbow still works (meaning only the forearm is casted), then I would say, sure why not.  I went on a surf trip to Mexico three weeks after breaking my collar bone.  I'm not going to say it wasn't painful, but it would have been more painful to sit out on such good waves.  I wore the butterfly harness while I surfed for added stability.  Since they don't cast a broken collar bone.

You will want to avoid falling down on you board however, the cast can do wonders on fiberglass.

  14. why not, you gotta live life to the fullest amount
