  1. I say give school a try. It will broaden your horizon.

You can also look into the school you will be attending. Many schools have a "shadowing" program, where you can see what the school is like. You follow a student with them to all their classes and you get to see the social parts too. You can meet teacher's you might have, you can make friends when you do that also. I would also recomend going to a smaller school because being thrust into a huge school can be a huge transition.

The teaching will be different, but wherever you go, you'll get a good education. Many home schooled people go on to do great things and same with public school and private school.

I really think that you should try going to school because my friend was home schooled his whole life until 9th grade and he loves going to school. It depends on your personal preference too. My other friend went to public school until 9th and then she started homeschooling and she absolutely loves it. I think the only one that can help you is yourself. Ask yourself how much you really like homeschooling? Would you have the mindset to try something differently? I hope that helped and I hope you have fun with whatever you do.

And if you are questioning going to school because shootings, that's not a good reason to go by. Yes, they do happen and the media is hyping them up more and more. There are millions of schools throughout America and only a handful of shootings.

And please don't listen to the people telling you that you don't get an education from public school. Getting a good education ONLY matters on how much you apply yourself. I have  a 4.0 in a public highschool right now, my brother and my sisters graduated as validictorians, my brother owns his own business and my sister is  a doctor, the other a lawyer. I honestly only matters on how much you apply yourself.

  2. That's an impossible question to answer without more details.

Are you enjoying homeschooling? Is there any particular reason to go to school? Anything that can't be accomplished by homeschooling? Why did this question even come up?

  3. Like everyone else, I think you need to supply more information because there are a lot of things to consider.

I homeschooled my kids, so I am a proponent of homeschool; however, homeschooling is not for everyone: for both parents and children.

If you are having problems with your schooling or are lonely, you may consider public school. However, public school is not a panacea to all problems and will come with its own set of new problems.

For instance, although school shootings are rare, it does happen, and is beginning to happen with more frequency. You will have peer pressure, which is difficult to deal with. Your peers will make fun of you if you don't give in. You may become bored or frustrated because you are either ahead or behind the public schools.

I would suggest that you visit the school you would attend. Talk to the teachers and students, and even the principal. Look over the student handbook and even the website. Determine why you want to go. Is it because of sports and they have what you are looking for? Is it for chess club? Oftentimes, there are equivalent activities for homeschoolers.

You may also see if your school will allow you to attend on a limited basis or for a limited time to try it out. Can you attend just one semester or trimester or take just one or two classes that you're interested in? If you lived in MN, the answer is yes, but you will have to check with the school, the school board or a homeschool group to see if you have that option.

    Good luck.

  4. i think you should stay home schooled.  you have a better chance at an excellent education.  public schools are barely getting students out with literary skills.  home school or private schools are the only way to go in this day and age.  you can get social skills at the mall or an arcade, you do not need public schooling for that.

  5. Follow your heart.

  6. I would definitely vouch for staying homeschooled, as I am homeschooled but have friends that go to public school and can see both sides of the issue. It's better for your head, your heart, and your health.

  7. There's so much bad stuff that goes on at public school.U should stay

    home schooled.

  8. Well, you're going to need to give us some more details if you want real answers.  :)

What grade are you in?  What are you hoping to get out of your education?  What are the pros and cons of each?  Are the schools near you any good?  What do your parents think?  These are all things that would factor into your decision, and likewise, into any real advice that we could offer.

  9. Obviously, we need more details.  However, if you are just doing an opinion poll, I feel that homeschool is better for children than going to school.

  10. im starting public school next year b/c  home schooling is dull and lonely.
