Should i have a fancy bedroom at 14?

I am not trying to be the "odd ball" adviser; but, I  would suggest delaying the "fancy bedroom."  You will be returning to school soon.  You are going to meet new people.  Further, you are at an age when you are going through many hormonal changes and your tastes and the like are also under swift changes.  I would wait until spring.  Maybe, your view of "fancy" will be different by that time.  I think we always appreciate a special treat like a remodeled room more by delaying having it.  It is similar to looking at a some article of apparel in the mall.  It is said to be deathlier to not just make the apparel purpose on that day.  But, to "window shop" the same apparel for a couple of weeks.  Then make the purchase.  Delay and delight in your choice.  Instant gratification is not the best life for anyone.  We need to appreciate what we decide and look upon choices as special.  It is not about the money.  It is about you being a responsible consumer and maturing teen.
