Deleted Answer: wow i don't know where to begin... ok first your grammar is terrible. My niece can do a better job and she is 3. Second, why on earth are you even on here if you don't like them? People can do whatever they want to their body. The masses are not going to change because you think it is wrong.

Honestly Why be on here if you do not like tattoos?

  1. The answerer above me has evidently missed the point.

I agree the violation notice was ridiculous. The moderation on this site totally sucks.

  2. people want you to just agree with them instead of having an opposing point of view.  But your spelling is pretty bad..../

  3. a violation for your response is completely unfair.  the "question"/rant that was originally posted was far more offensive than your answer.  but i'm still trying to decide what was most offensive, the fact that they were calling tattooed people bums?  or the horrendous spelling!

    some people eh?!

  4. Yahoo Answers' way of handling violations is insane

it allows people who spam questions/answers every single day to thrive

but punishes honest/helpful answerers if they don't say what people want to hear

And now, you can't even dispute violations

so when somebody comes after you personally....you're pretty much up a creek

  5. i totally agree. they are bad and permenent think of that when u get old and rinkly the tatoo becomes rinkly and then it will look even more trashy then it already does! im with u all the way tattos are bad and should be illigal

  6. Maybe it had a little do with "your grammar is horrible, my niece could do a better job and she's 3"?

I don't know, people are too sensitive.

  7. I agree with you and Blondie. The question was clearly asked by someone who was very ignorant and judgmental.

Your answer, whilst a little harsh was very true.

There are some young people on this site. Perhaps she was only 10 (although I could spell better then this at 10)!

  8. I think the question deserves a violation as a rant. There's no real question involved. I personally agree with your answer.

  9. First off, people have been tattooing themselves for thousands of years in cultures that are older and advanced.  So this is not a new "fad".  It's not violating your body.  Your body is a canvas; how you adorn and decorate your body is your business and nobody else's.

Second, your opinion is just that- an opinion.  Much like other things, we all have one.  How we use it is what matters.  However, millions of people worldwide have tattoos.  For every drunk college student who now regrets it, there are dozens of people who have tattoos that they have had done that are a reflection of who they are, and/or have a

    deeply personal meaning.

Third, this is a section for people to ask and get answers for questions about tattoos.  Clearly, you abhor them, which is your right.  With this being said, it is curious that you would willingly come onto a forum dealing with tattoos and post a poorly-written rant that isn't a question (and thus a violation of Y!A policy) that will only incite negative responses.

I have three tattoos; they all have deep personal meaning, and were done by professionals whilst I was sober, alert, and of the age of

consent.  I'm 35 and frankly, could not give two scoots if you don't like my tattoos.

I'm not a tattoo artist nor a shill for the industry, but these artists are,

in the main, hardworking entrepreneurs who have opened businesses

that pay taxes, provide jobs, and generally support the areas in which

they operate.  They are husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, sons,

daughters, parents, and in some cases grandchildren or grandparents.

They're just like everyone else.  Scary thought, eh?

The only difference is that they have chosen to adorn their body in a different fashion than you.  We own our own body, and should be able

to decorate it as we see fit.  To compare that to vandalism of public

and private property is an utterly ridiculous argument.

    Good day.

  10. I agree with you 100%...their question should have been deleted instead for being a rant and not actually being a question. You responded appropriately to me...if you dont like tattoos, dont come to the tattoo section!
