Should i have my tongue pierced at a slant or take the risk?

hi there i read your letter on how you had your tongue pierced and if you dont mind could you answer my question ok well i went to get my done and he said i cant have it done because i have a vein or vessl going across. but then l8r that day cause i got upset about not having it done my boyfriend rang the piercer up and asked him if there would be anyway i could still have it done and he said that i could have it done at a slant but he wont do it cause he says it will put him out of buisness so im going to get a second opinun and if he says thet i can have it done do you think i should take the risk and have it straight or slant i mean the piercer could be wrong plz get back to me asap thank you

  1. With all the trouble my kids have had since having their tongues pierced I'd advise against it as there already sems to be issues.

I had the same problem, and I had my piercer do it a little the right (if that's what you mean by slanted.  I'm giving you a heads up, until you get your piercing ring out (the one that allows for swelling) the slant will be noticeable, but I can't even notice mine now unless I stare at it for like twenty minutes.  DO NOT get it done where you want if there's a vein there.  If you hit that main vein in your tongue it will swell up immediately and block your airway.  Listen to your piercer, they know what they're up to.  I don't want to be crude either, but don't do that activity that's usually associated with tongue piercing for at least the first month.  If you do it before your tongue is healed, your hole can get hard.....ewwww.

  3. Just DON'T do it!!! Why risk a problem!!!
