  1. Its always better to get a commercial web hosting service. Since hosting your own website means running your computer 24/7 and doing lots of maintenance and programming. I am using bluehost webhosting for my website

  2. Do a screen test, before you pay someone to do it for you. You could do it the first time, see how good you are, and decide what to do next. As you get started, it's best to do it yourself, that way your show will be well known by the time you think you can pay someone to do it for you,

  3. You might want to think about that one first. Hosting it at home is cost effective, but you will need to keep your computer/server up the whole time (but you may be doing that already). Also, you will need to make sure you know how to add all the security patches and measures necessary (prevent dns attacks, ip spoofing, etc)to keep your computer/server safe.

Instead, I recommend thinking about using a free website host. You can create a free website is with Microsoft Office Live Small Business - http://tinyurl.com/officelive . It has a free design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. It has no ads and has 500mb of web space. You can can upload your own HTML very easily using its web folder - drag and drop (you just need to turn on third-party design tool to switch on this mode). This is not just for business websites, works great for other kinds of sites. MS is giving a free domain name for the 1st year.
