Question:

Should i join middle school football?

ok i want to join it but I'm not sure because my parents said that the people would be really heavy... like 300 pounds but i don't think so

MY stats:

Weight- 105 pounds

Height- 65'' inches

BMI-17

If i could please tell me a recommended position

  1. If I were you, if you are fast, I would try out for WR & CB. Also, the kids will not be three hundred pounds. Even if they are, they will be fat and slow and on the line. If you play the positions that I recommended, you won't even have to touch them. So, yeah, go for it.

    if i were you id gain a little weight then you will be fine.

    workout too. gain muscle.

Well I really dont like BMI as a weigh to tell body fat to muscle ratio at all to start off.  But it sounds like you are rather skinny my football playing friend.  A 300 pounder in middle school is going to be pretty rare although they do exist they are usually all fat.  If I were you I would play.  At your age you should still grow a few inches and if you can pack on some mass you should be ok, but at that level of the sport it doesnt matter much.  What you need to be thinking now is what you need to do to get yourself ready for high school ball, where skill and size become more of an issue.

  4. u should definately play if u enjoy football. at the moment u r prob gonna play cornerback or wide reciever. i was about ur size got to high school and started lifting. and i ended up playing tight end my senior year. so u have no idea how u will grow in high school. so play now get experience. and kids dont weigh 300 in middle school.  

  5. Your physical size doesnt always matter in football (or all sports) its all about how much heart you have.

    If you want to try it out, do your very best and give 110% all the time and there is no way you cant do whatever you want in sports.

    You mite want to hit the weights some though not to beef up, but to get leg strenght (Squats, power-clean, etc...).

    I would reccomend you play a safety or a cornerback. All you need is speed in football to play those positions. good luck and do your best.

  6. yea u can play like RB or sometin.. gain like 20 lbs.... they arent 300 lbvs in midde school and if they are they are really fat and uncoordinated.... ther arent good 300 lbers until u get to high school

    but there is no 300 lb middle schooler on any football team i've ever seen

    lol my high school team doesn't even have anyone that big
