Should i just leave for training?

Question

i recently got hired for a new job today. they want me to start training all next week nine to five. i currently work from three to seven. i gave two weeks notice at my job and mentioned i needed to go for traing and they seemed hesitant, who will cover for me?? but i need this training asap!!! shud i leave them hanging or wait to see when my new job can train me again??
