Question:

Should i keep my old journals?

I have about 20 journals from the last 15 years. The writing is good (i used journaling for writing practice), and i know that it is my personal history. But I wouldn't want my boyfriend or our son to read them, and when i read them, most of the content really makes me cringe. Should i just get rid of them, or will i regret it at some point?

  1. Keep them, they will be useful.  Just lock them away somewhere. They are a part of you whether you like it or not.  It is something to learn from and I am sure your son in the future would love to read them, after you are gone.

  2. keep them!

    I have a journal too,

    oh god.

its makes me cringe so badly.

but someday, you wont rememeber something,

then when you look back, efven at the smallest things,

    you'll completely rememeber.

    you know what I mean?

  3. Absolutely!!! Keep them and when you look back the journal is a reflection about your past and your present. It can also remind us of what we have learnt and what we need to learn about life. Lock them away - you never know - they could become a famous memoir of your life!

  4. DEFINITELY KEEP THEM!

I think you would regret it if you no longer had them.

Put them in a place where no one will come across them.
