About a year and a half ago i got hit into the boards at a tournie and tore my ACL, dislocated my knee and tore cartlidge. About three months ago i had surgery and now its feels pretty good. Im not sure if i should keep playing hockey cuz i dont wanna reinjure it playing contact. I only played single a but houseleague or select is too easy and i need competition.

Should i take up a new sport or jus play select? if you say a new sport, what would you recomend for an athletic but small skinny guy?

  1. i say sit another season out so your knee can heal alittle bit more and if you feel like u can play then play. dont start another sport just because u think your going to injure your knee more with hockey. just stick with it.

  2. DO a mans sport....... BOXING!

  3. you know sports arent the only thing to life, if the hockey thing doesn't work out again there's always music, art, writing, acting, other things to do.....  if you're tentative about playing hockey, don't. not until you're confident, kuz you'll be holding back in you're playing if you're worrying about reinjury.

  4. Hockey is an awsome sport, and a high contact one, as you unfortunately learned.  If you really love hockey I don't think that you will get the same thrill by playing a less contact sport.  If you do wish to continue hockey then i recommend taking a little bit more time off and taking some physical therapy and strengthening your leg.
