when i decided to learn i went to a surf camp for a week, i was the oldest one there (to learn) but i had a blast...and i still have a scar on my knee...ah memories.

YES! To me there isn't anything better than taking a the drop and catching a good wave and riding it in for as long as possible. Once you get hooked its hard to stop. All your problems seem to wash away, since all you want is the next good ride. Do it you won't regret it.

Yeh if it's what you want to do, then get out there and get into it. You'll have a ball, but don't expect to be hanging 10 straight away.
