It is a great sport and builds up a lot of strength.

  4. my dad was 42 when he learned to swim.  He loves it and won lots of medals.  Your never to old to learn it's great fun and great exercise too.  I love swimming myself and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.  Happy splashing!!

  5. i think you should swim

it doesnt matter if it would be embarrasing

just go for it if you really want to know how to swim and dont let that hold you back

plus swimming can lead to fun experiences

so yes, i think you should learn how to swim

  6. I swim with the Master's club in my town. I never did any organized swimming, I just showed up and started (I did know how to swim though). We did have a guy come to learn how to swim. He was 43. He was scared at first, but was having a great time by the end (only took about a month).

  7. You should learn to swim.  Look for an Adult swim class to take.

Don't be embarrassed.  Not everyone has the time or opportunity to learn to swim when growing up.

  8. It's never too late to start learning something. You'll be proud of yourself, when you will be able to swim. Better later than never.

  9. its really fun, a great workout, and if u ever drown (not that u really will but just in case) ull no how to swim. ppl do it as a safety precaution.

  10. go for it. it may be harder for you to learn since your older. if you have kids try to get them involved. it is a very useful skill.

  11. yesssssssssssssss but i dunno how to either

  12. If its holding you back from life... Who cares!

Trying to learn to swim at 35 may be embarrassing, but not being able to is even more embarrassing at practically any age!

I'd go for it... You have nothing to lose.

  13. sure and you may not have any trouble whatsoever. Look at it this way, it's better to learn in a controlled environment than to be stuck in the water somewhere trying to learn.
