Should i leave next summer?

I just got this letter that says me a 5th grader can go to Australia and study and learn about stuff in summer of 2009 and after i can go to southern houston and study with junior high! i can graduate early!!! but what about my friends? family? my puppy what will they all think should i leave it would be my first time leaving alone and on a plain sniffle i wish this wasn't such a big decision i don't want to leave my friends what will they do and my mom and dad and everyone else? wont they miss me this is a once in a life time chance that can get me scholar ships! going to a good collage not having to have my parents pay I'm only a 5th grader what should i do????

That really sounds like fun and it is definitely a good opportunity.

But when I was in 5th grade I got sad being away from my parents for even 4 days.  But there is also other things to think about: phones to call your parents with whenever you want to talk to them, you could write letters to them about your experiences, you could see how other countries live. Also when you get older your going to look back on this and be happy you did something like that.  It's just a lot to think about and just see what you want for the next few months.
